Have you seen the Farm Chicks Christmas ideas in this months Country Living magazine? I really liked so many of their ideas! Especially the fact that its just using what you already have on hand in your house (or stuffed away in boxes!). Anyways, I really liked the old toy barn that they spruced up with a wreath. They even gave some resources and ideas where to buy the wreaths and animals.

I don't have a toy barn on hand, but I do have a wood doll house! This house was given to one of daughters for her birthday some years ago; she has since parted with it. However, I held onto it because it reminds me of our suburbia house. So I decided to deck the halls on this little house.
I used some leftover foam pieces to make the wreaths and garland. Cutting some felt was what I had in mind at first, but foam pieces in the correct shape and colors! I couldn't pass them up! I made the little snowman from 3 small styrofoam balls (thank you dollar tree), beads for the eyes and nose, felt hat, ribbon scarf, and some twigs for arms.
The snow for the roof is actually a Swiffer dust cloth; cut into pieces and then a crumbled styrofoam ball and silver glitter glued to it.
Great Idea! Now I need to get cracking on the rest of the Christmas decor!

I noticed that barn in the magazine, too, and I really like your take on it with the doll house. Very cute!
